Ragu‘s latest commercial in their “Long Day of Childhood” series features a kid who walks into his parent’s bedroom without knocking. Traumatized by his encounter, the kid clearly needs some good pasta with Ragu to clear his mind.
Ragu’s awkwardly hilarious commercial has already received over 1.5 million YouTube views in just two week. To make this video even more strange, a creepy tune narrates this sex education encounter with a man singing, “Parents in bed, but it’s just 8 o’clock. That’s why they taught you you should always knock. He needs Ragu, ’cause growing up’s tough. Ragu, he’s been through enough.” The tagline for Ragu’s “Long Day of Childhood” advertising campaign is “A long day of childhood calls for America’s favorite pasta sauce.”
If this kid was just scarred by walking into his parent’s bedroom, the changes of him having an appetite are slim to none. Regardless, this Ragu commercial is definitely one for the books.
Other commercials in Ragu’s “Long Day of Childhood” series includes a mom cleaning off her son’s face with her spit and a dad trying to cover up the death of his daughter’s hamster. These kids have really got it bad.
